Ms. Jones

My name is Kate Jones and I want to know, what can I do to help your student succeed?  I love to read and help students find their lifetime love of books.  I have been teaching since 2013 in upper elementary and middle school.  I specialize in Life Science and Biology, Reading Comprehension and Fluency.  I have a life long acquaintance with dyslexia as it runs heavily in my family, and have spent much of my professional career learning how to best support struggling readers.  I can proudly say I have a dyslexic child that is also a high school honor student.  I love to see the light in a child's eyes when reading becomes a pleasure instead of a chore.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early childhood development, and a Masters Degree in Teacher Leadership and development, I am also secondary Science certified. I look forward to helping your student to achieve great things.
